For Harry Gruyaert, photography is a physical experience, a state of excitement. Heir to the American tradition embodied by Leiter, William Eggleston or Stephen Shore, very influenced by the cinema, he knew how to create an extremely personal chromatic palette.
His images propose another territory for photography and a new approach to color, thanks to an emotive, non-narrative and radically graphic perception of the world.
Harry Gruyaert (born in 1941) has been a member of Magnum Photos since 1982.
During this meeting, Harry Gruyaert will talk about his job as a photographer and present his various portfolios. After the traditional question-and-answer session, he will sign 3 of his books, Harry Gruyaert, Maroc, pocket photo n°108.
