It is with his fist raised in resonance that Michel announces his next edition and reminds his tribe. The next rite of passage will occur on June 3, 4 and 5 and is already shaping up to be a weapon of massive seduction, a timeless relationship experience.

Craftsman of culture in rural areas, the Michel knew how to build its history on the margins of a certain urban centralization. The festival, of which he is now the ambassador, is structured on an innovative cooperative model with a cultural object, and continues to draw the outlines of a 2016 program that promises to be rock, alternative and impertinent.

Music in the skin

After a 2015 edition which had seen big names in pop tumble more than usual in Bulligny, the festival finds this year a more independent, more rock, more alternative programming. As proof of this desire to affirm its identity, an arm tattooed in the 2nd degree and filled with nods to its history which comes to take place right in the middle of its poster and its history. An atypical story that has seen the big names in contemporary music; those who have rocked generations of music lovers, but also those who sing to each other with their arms raised and their fists raised.

GRAMATIK, RONE, BIGA*RANX, PATRICE  or even  DUBI-OZA KOLEKTIV  are thus the unmissable headliners of this 12th edition. STEVE’N’SEAGULLS  and  PFEL & GREEM  (members of C2C, Hocus Pocus and Beat Torrent) will probably be the (very) good surprises of this edition. Some have already been to Michel, others have been waiting there for a while. All will perform on its big stage and promise us “live” shows.

Finally, it is impossible not to mention the locomotives of this edition, which alone sweep away several decades of auditory happiness. Essential French artist-singer,  HF THIEFAINE  signed one of the most beautiful rock albums in 2015. A true independent artist in the image of the values ​​​​advocated by the festival, he has always led an uncompromising career and has thus crossed fashions and eras thanks to an af rmed authenticity. It’s all the harm we wish for the French hip hop artist of the year,  NEKFEU who currently fills the halls with disconcerting ease. Sometimes adored or hated, the young rapper (member of S-Crew or even 1995) is building his career for the long term, whatever one may say, by offering a conscious and intelligent rap. And since we were talking about artists expected for a long time at the festival, it is  MANU CHAO LA VENTURA  who should be the most anticipated concert for these 3 days of festival. Manu Chao, it’s no longer a surprise, never stops. From Mano Negra to Radio Bemba and La Ventura, Manu Chao has performed all over the world. He promises us an incredible moment of sharing in the Jardin du Michel, which will certainly mark the spirits and write a new page in the history of the event!

With his friends from the “De Concert!” », the festival also expresses the will to pamper the artists who will make the news of tomorrow via a selection of discoveries, co-opted by the programmers of each festival: the hip hop passion of OCEAN WISDOM (sponsored by the JDM)  ,  the next generation of Belgian rock with  VICTORIA+JEAN  (favorite of the 3 Elephants in Laval) and the promising  LAST TRAIN  (favorite of the Vieilles Charrues) will thus come to tread the stages of Bulligny. The Lorraine scene is also honoured. Familiar projects already supported in previous editions are joining the program for this 12th edition and will take advantage of the event to con rm all the good that we think of them:INCREDIBLE POLO, THE YOKEL  or  THE LITTLE SISTER  . In addition, the festival collaborates with the 54 Tour device, via the Departmental Council and thus allows  SON DEL SALON  and  D-TRACK  to present their new projects.
